Alison Green

Unfortunately, I was one of thousands of babies that were born out of wedlock in the 1960s.

Raising me was never an option for my birth mother.

Unwed so unfit to raise.

Shame and secrecy surrounded my very existence.

There’s no doubt that practices of past adoptions were poor, very poor and ignorance at the time can only cover so much.

The damage is done.
